SPRING AGE / DIVISION REQUIREMENTS

FVGFS follows all rules outlined by USA Softball, including the age eligibility qualifications.

USA Softball has changed the age eligibility requirements. Every major softball organization in the country, except USSSA, is following the USA Softball guidelines. The new cutoff date of September 1 more closely aligns with school cutoff dates, allowing players to most often play with those in the same grade. USA Softball encourages players and leagues to play within the new age qualifications.

All players must register for the division that they are assigned based on their actual birth month and year as outlined below.

If your player would like to request the ability to try out for a different division than the assigned division (i.e. 8u assigned division requesting to try out for 10u division), please register your player for the assigned division and then submit a request to the Player Agent. Your player will need to attend evaluations for both their assigned division and the requested division, unless otherwise advised by the Player Agent.

Please keep in mind that division changes are not guaranteed.

Payment Plan Option - AVAILABLE ON 12/01/2025

Fountain Valley Girls Fastpitch Softball offers a payment plan with the exception of Early Bird registration. To participate in the payment plan you must have a valid form of online payment for recurring payment.
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account.

All registration fees are divided up into four payments. First payment is due today and the other three payments will be an automatic withdraw from the same payment method on the 1st of the next 3 months.

Discounts

Early Bird Discount: $20 available through 11/30/25

Family Discount: $10.00 on/after 12/01/25

As of December 1st, If you are registering more than one player in your family this season, you will receive a $10 discount on the second (and third, if applicable) child's registration fee.

In order for the registration system to recognize that your family is registering multiple players, please register all of your players at this time. On the Review Page, there is a link near the bottom to "Register Another Player" - please click on this link to ensure that all of your family's players are registered within the same order.

Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of your family's discounted rates.

* Refundable Snack Bar Fee requires a minimum 5 Hours work in the FVGFS Snack Bar. Please be advised, if you sign up and do not show up or cancel at least 48 hours in advance you will be charged a $50 penalty fee*

Fundraiser Buyout option available during registration. The Fundraiser Fee for Spring 2026 is $80.00.

Fee includes player's uniform, basic picture package, scheduled games, and lighted field practice

SNACK BAR

There is a Snack Bar Fee of $100 added to your registration. You will be able to get a refund after you work a 5 hour snack bar shift at the FVGFS Snack Bar. The schedule will be posted through sign up genius and it will be your responsibility to sign up to receive the refund. There is a $50 penalty fee if you do not show up for the shift signed up for or cancel 7 days prior to shift. There will be other options to volunteer however you must volunteer for 10 hours for refund.
