Fall Games Start Tomorrow!

It is expected to be hot tomorrow so please check with your coaches to confirm game times and locations as they might have changed.

All teams and the full schedule will be posted to the website soon.

FVGFS Fields

The FVGFS Field availability is managed directly by the FVGFS League President in coordination with the Fountain Valley City Resources. We understand that everyone is excited to get the season started and to practice on our home fields, but please do not reach out to the Fountain Valley City Resources directly to ask for updates. The FVGFS Board will provide updates as soon as we have them. Please know that we are doing all we can to rectify things so we can all get onto our fields.

Background Check Registration is now OPEN!

Cutoff Date is 9/15/24 12:00 pm (noon)!

Background checks are good for the calendar year only. Each person needs a new one every year.
Teams are required to have a minimum of 4 adults background checked.
Teams will keep all USAS cards on hand to prove background checks have been completed at all times.

Who needs a background check?

Anyone who walks past the gates/fence onto the grass or dirt must have a background check.
This includes:
Helping during practices and games
Helping in the dugout
Chaperones for Bathroom Breaks

We are looking for new faces to join our FVGFS Board. Our league runs 100% off volunteers, so we need your help if we want to continue to be successful.

This year we are operating under a small board/rapid agenda with things changing so quickly, but we are hoping to gain some new members for our Fall 2024/Spring 2025 season.

We have many positions with varying levels of responsibility. Open positions are listed below.

14U/16U commissioner
10U commissioner

FVGFS SNACK BAR SIGNUPS

Snack Bar Sign Up

The FVGFS Snack Bar is an important source of revenue for our league. Our players, their families, and supporters can stop by for refreshing drinks, tasty snacks, and pick up some FVGFS Swag! We count on our families and volunteers to help make this possible.

Each registered player paid a $40 Snack Bar fee at time of Fall Registration. This fee is refundable if you choose to work a minimum 4 hours in the Snack Bar. You do not need to sign up if you do not wish to receive your refund. You may only sign up for one shift per player.

*Please be advised if you sign up and are a no show or do not cancel 48 hours prior to shift there will be a $50 penalty added on.*

Volunteers:
Volunteers must be a parent or guardian of a currently registered player. If you wish to assign a substitute of at least 16 years of age to work your shift, please contact the League President. Please allow 24 hours for a response.

Once the hours have been completed the $40 fee will be refunded/credited to the parent through Sports Engine. It is very important parents sign in and out for their hours to be counted. There is a sign up sheet at the snack bar. The player agent will record the number of hours worked from the sign up sheet.

***VOLUNTEERS: Fountain Valley Girls Fastpitch Softball is an entirely volunteer organization from the board members to the coaches and team parents. Please consider volunteering to support your child’s team. No experience is necessary. Every team will need as many coaches as possible along with team parents to assist with practices, games, field setup, team events, etc.. This is an amazing organization and everyone is here to ensure the players all have a positive and fun experience.
