FALL Season Information

FVGFS Fall Ball is a competitive yet less-intensive season compared to Spring Ball, making it a great opportunity for players to learn new positions and get extra practice before the main season. Players in the 10U, 12U, and 14U divisions will play two games each Saturday, while 8U and 6U divisions play one game on Saturdays, though 8U may occasionally play doubleheaders.

Practices can begin in August, with games running from September through November. Games will be held at our home fields in Fountain Valley and at fields in other participating cities.

This season, you can register your player for SELECT ONLY, or for BOTH REC AND SELECT. The Select only fee is the same as regular registration, but please note that players must be selected to be placed on a Select team; if not chosen, they will be placed on a Rec team. If your player will be playing both Rec and Select, there is an additional $100 fee.

Select teams play on Sundays instead of Saturdays and will be traveling and possibly further than the Rec teams. 

The registration process allows you to enter contact information, sign required consents, and submit payment through a secure site. Be sure to review each page carefully and have your checking account, Visa, or MasterCard ready to complete registration.

AGE/DIVISON REQUIREMENT 

(USA SOFTBALL 2026 SEASON)

FVGFS follows all rules outlined by USA Softball, including the age eligibility qualifications. 

Every major softball organization in the country, except USSSA, is following the USA Softball guidelines. The new cutoff date of September 1 more closely aligns with school cutoff dates, allowing players to most often play with those in the same grade. USA Softball encourages players and leagues to play within the new age qualifications.

All players must register for the division that they are assigned based on their actual birth month and year as outlined above. The Age and Division requirements are outlined by USA Softball and did recently change in September 2023.

If your player would like to request the ability to try out for a different division than the assigned division (i.e. 8u assigned division requesting to try out for 10u division), please register your player for the assigned division and then submit a request to the Player Agent.  Your player will need to attend evaluations for both their assigned division and the requested division, unless otherwise advised by the Player Agent.

Please keep in mind that division changes are not guaranteed.

Select will be offered this fall.  If your player is selected for the team after evaluations, she will have the option to play ONLY Select or play BOTH Rec and Select. 

Please be advised, if chosen to play BOTH there is an additional charge for the additional jersey.

Lighted Fields, Stadium Seating,  Snack Bar, Restrooms, Ample Free Parking

Fee includes player's uniform, scheduled games, lighted field practice

*Players are encouraged to play in the Division they will play in Spring 2026. Please be advised you are only able to register for a division according to player birthdate. 

Fees include uniform (2 jerseys and 2 pair of socks) as well as participation in 1 Tournament. 

Games and practices, along with park amenities such as ample parking and lighted fields.  

*Refundable Snack Bar Fee requires minimum 4 Hours work in Snack Bar. Please be advised, if you sign up for a Snack Bar shift and do not show up or cancel at least 48 hours in advance, there is a $50 penalty fee
